ANKON Consulting has been assigned with carrying out a matching project in Munich Germany, between UR-GE projects companies of the OSTİM Work and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) and international companies in BAUMA (April 15-21,2013) Trade fair.

The purpose of the project is to promote local dynamics and exporting mobilization within the scope of “Supporting the International Competitiveness Program (UR-GE) of the Turkish Ministry of Economy.”
Matchmaking program aimed to contribute in international competitiveness and sustainability of the UR-GE projects companies of the OSTİM Work and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) by organizing one to one meetings with their competitors, suppliers and customers in international arena.

More than 1,700 exhibitors from 46 countries and 40,000 visiting professionals from 78 different countries participated in MIDEST 2012.

ANKON Consulting rendered services on business plan consulting including the preparation of a draft business plan based on the organization, management, manufacturing and commercial experience of Aytemizler. Most functions of the company to be established were evaluated and analysed with existing and estimated data and efforts shown to put forward reasonably accurate predictions.

The outcomes of this project appeared to be quite encouraging with a reasonably short return on investment period and profitability, with given assumed price, sales volume and capacity realization.

The SQIT Project is a technical assistance Project proposed by the Republic of Turkey Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade and Turkish Society for Quality (KALDER) with the aim of contributing to the free movement of goods between Turkey and EU and to the elimination of technical obstacles in trade between two parties. This EU-funded project helped improve the services of the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) to deliver more effective employment services and to implement measures targeting specific unemployed groups, like women and youth. ANKON Consulting provided the training dimension of the project, providing İŞKUR staff with IT, event-management and monitoring skills required to deliver modern web-based services. The consultancy also provided grant management training and MIS training to more than ten thousand grant beneficiaries in 25 cities within eighteen months.

The project aimed at facilitating the process of technical harmonization in Turkey with the acquis communautaire covering the free movement of industrial goods. Activities under the contract included provision of consultancy and training to all parties interested in Measures, Metrology & Legal Metrology, aiming at aligning the Turkish legislation with the acquis communautaire covering the area of Legal Metrology, including Notified Bodies, Market Surveillance, Accreditation, Conformity Assessment; restructuring the organization of the General Directorate of Measurement and Standards of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, such that it can meet the conditions necessary for the implementation of the New Approach and the Global Approach; supporting further development of the Conformity Assessment infrastructure relevant to measuring instruments under legal control in Turkey; increasing the awareness of the relevant manufacturers, importers and distributors of measuring instruments, (potential) notified bodies, user associations and consumer associations and the National Metrology Institute, about the new strategy of the Ministry relating to Legal Metrology.

The overall objective of the project was to strengthen the regulation of telecommunications market in Turkey in compliance with the EU Acquis, improvement of Legislative and Regulatory Framework and to strengthen the capacity of the Telecommunication Authority, from improvement of human resources management to legal, administrative and technical knowledge and skills of the staff.

In this nineteen months project , ANKON has provided organizational development and training of local experts on a comprehensive staff training programme including seminars and workshops, as well as providing strong local backstopping services.
