The overall objective of the project developed by The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC – OIC) is to empower Libyan entrepreneurs, start-ups, and SMEs through facilitating new sustainable businesses creation and growth via providing a highly-integrated business development services and match-making facilities in partnership with the Turkish SMEs ecosystem. This will definitely lead to a more developed economy, less unemployment rates, new sustainable jobs creation, new products and services and more strategic linkages between business development programs with the local institutions. In this scope, following key tasks will be undertaken:

  • Provide an appropriate environment for SMEs and start-upsto develop their innovative ideas for their businesses growth and access to markets strategies though establishing a business incubator in Turkey that is dedicated to offer innovative means for access to markets, knowledge transfer, and smart partnerships models.
  • Build the Capacity and strengthen the Libyan entrepreneurs, SMEs, mentors, and business development services providersthrough providing entrepreneurship training and on-job internship program in partnership with Turkish SMEs incubators and zones, and private companies.
  • Facilitate the development of new and existing SMEsthrough offering access to new markets mechanisms, building smart partnerships with Turkish ecosystem. This includes raising their standards and creating new opportunities

ANKON Consulting has been assigned with carrying out a matching project in Munich Germany, between UR-GE projects companies of the OSTİM Work and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) and international companies in BAUMA (April 15-21,2013) Trade fair.

The purpose of the project is to promote local dynamics and exporting mobilization within the scope of “Supporting the International Competitiveness Program (UR-GE) of the Turkish Ministry of Economy.”
Matchmaking program aimed to contribute in international competitiveness and sustainability of the UR-GE projects companies of the OSTİM Work and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) by organizing one to one meetings with their competitors, suppliers and customers in international arena.

MIDEST trade fair is known to be one of the world’s most important key platforms for industrial subcontractors at international scale, organised with the aim to form a unique meeting point for the supply and demand chain amongst the subcontracting community. More than 1,700 exhibitors from 46 countries and 40,000 visiting professionals from 78 different countries participated in MIDEST 2012.

b2fair – Business to Fairs® is a business cooperation exchange concept that fosters internationalisation amongst SMEs by giving them access to new international market scales and establishing sustainable business relations in the European Union and beyond.

ANKON Consulting rendered services on business plan consulting including the preparation of a draft business plan based on the organization, management, manufacturing and commercial experience of Aytemizler. Most functions of the company to be established were evaluated and analysed with existing and estimated data and efforts shown to put forward reasonably accurate predictions.

The outcomes of this project appeared to be quite encouraging with a reasonably short return on investment period and profitability, with given assumed price, sales volume and capacity realization.

The Trade Mission was organized by the Royal Netherlands Embassy, between the 2nd and 4th of June 2014. The Official Delegation headed by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Co-operation Lilianne Plume and accompanied by the Business Delegation comprising of 9 firms with annual revenues ranging from 10 million to 1, 2 billion EUR companies aiming to invest in Turkey.

ANKON Consulting was responsible for the overall planning (approximately 1 month), co-ordination and supervision of the events via researching, identifying and contacting relevant Turkish private firms, institutions and governmental bodies with potential for economic co-operation and following up each meeting to optimize the quality of the mission targeted at creating and realizing investment opportunities. 

In total; 55 matchmaking sessions were organized in Ankara for 9 Dutch firms and 27 in Gaziantep for 5 Dutch firms. 
ANKON Consulting was present at the venues to guarantee the effective delivery of the sessions, which demanded great multi-tasking and organizational skills

The Business Mission was organized for Turkey Institute between20-22 October 2010 by EUNITE, Ankon Consulting. The Missions’ “official delegation” consisted of the representatives from the MinEZ and EVD, and a “business delegation” consisted of Dutch companies and non-profit organizations which were representatives from Sustainable Energy and Energy Efficiency sectors.

ANKON Consulting had been responsible for undertaking the organisation of individual matchmakings for 15 Dutch Companies in Ankara based between19 October 2010 – 23 October 2010.

In accordance with the objective of the service contract, ANKON has achieved 182 well organised tailor – made matchmaking meetings with Turkish firms within the sector which satisfied the Business Delegation members.
