Event Manager

ANKON Consulting is looking for an Event Manager for an EU funded Project.

Candidates with:

  • University degree from a reputable university, where such degree in public relations, communication or tourism will be an asset
  • Fluency in written and spoken Turkish and English
  • Full computer literacy, advanced level of competency in MS Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook)
  • At least five years of experience in providing event management services
  • Work experience in at least two EU technical assistance projects
  • Work experience in a travel agency/event management company will be an asset
  • Based in Ankara, no travel restrictions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Multi-tasking skills, including the ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Capacity to work effectively within a team

The Event Manager will be responsible for:

  • Creating event plans
  • Obtaining necessary permits
  • Managing all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, food, drinks etc.)
  • Handling travel, accommodation and other logistics
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors
  • Handling budgeting and invoicing
  • Updating senior management
  • Handling post-event reports
  • Other relevant tasks required by the TL/Office Manager/Director/Portfolio Manager
