16 Jan Environmental and Social Specialist
ANKON Consulting provides technical advisory services in environmental and social assessment, compliance, and risk management for energy and infrastructure projects financed by international financial institutions. Within this scope, ANKON is seeking an experienced Environmental and Social Specialist to support the preparation and implementation of environmental and social studies in line with national regulations and IFI standards.
The Environmental and Social Specialist will be responsible for conducting environmental and social assessments, supporting environmental permitting processes, and contributing to the preparation of compliance and monitoring documentation. The position requires close collaboration with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with EBRD environmental and social requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant sector
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental studies and assessment and EIA to national and IFI standards
- Specific experience in environmental requirements according to local law
- Practical knowledge and understanding of EBRD’s environmental and social requirements and past experience of assistance in their successful implementation.
