16 Jan Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Specialist
ANKON Consulting provides technical advisory services on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience for energy and infrastructure projects financed by international financial institutions. Within this framework, ANKON is seeking an experienced Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Specialist to support the integration of climate considerations into project design, assessment, and implementation.
The Specialist will contribute to the assessment and management of climate change mitigation and adaptation aspects, including greenhouse gas emission reductions, energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions, and the evaluation of physical climate risks. The position involves supporting the identification and implementation of climate resilience measures in line with IFI standards and EBRD climate and sustainability requirements.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree, environmental degree or equivalent qualification
- Preferably at least 7 years relevant professional experience in the assessment and management of:
- i) climate change mitigation including GHG emission reductions, energy efficiency, renewables etc. and
ii) climate change adaptation / climate resilience including assessment of physical climate risks and identification of climate resilience measures (both in the specified sectors/areas).
