ANKON F-Gases Project: Kigali Amendment Approved
The Kigali Amendment, which aims to reduce the use of fluorinated gases, briefly expressed as F-gases, was approved and published in the Official Gazette. The Kigali Amendment, a part of the Montreal Protocol which Turkey signed in 1991, aims to make a significant contribution to combating climate change through the reduction of f-gases, a powerful greenhouse gas.
Within the scope of F-Gases Project, co-financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union and implemented by the consortium composed of GFA Consulting, ANKON Consulting, HEAT GmbH and Öko-Recherche, the first Regulation on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases was published in Turkey and thus a new era was opened in fluorinated greenhouse gases.
