ANKON Consulting is looking for a KE: (Maritime) Transport Economist/ Modeller for the Support to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on Regulatory Setup, Market Mechanisms, and Capacity Building for Maritime Decarbonisation which will be implemented in Turkey.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B B.Sc. in transport economics, logistics, transport/maritime operations, or a related field
- Preferably higher degree in economics, management, international relations
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Turkish is a distinctive advantage
General Professional Experience:
- Preferably at least 15 years of experience in incentive scheme design, cost-benefit analysis, impact assessment (re regulatory changes)
Specific Professional Experience:
- In-depth knowledge on transport sector, specifically maritime sector, intermodal connections, connectivity, political economy of transport sector
- Demonstrated experience of working with big data and data analytics
- Demonstrated understanding of life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental management systems (EMS)
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and environmental modelling tools
- Experience in working with international organizations is a distinctive advantage
