ANKON Consulting is looking for a KE: Project Manager for the Support to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on Regulatory Setup, Market Mechanisms, and Capacity Building for Maritime Decarbonisation which will be implemented in Turkey.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Sc. degree in civil/marine engineering, transport economics, maritime economics, or similar
  • Sc./Ph.D. in maritime business, management, economics, international relations
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Turkish is a distinctive advantage

 General Professional Experience:

  • Preferably at least 20 years advisory experience in maritime/transport sector, with demonstrated expertise in maritime and transport policies

Specific Professional Experience:

  • Preferably 12 years as project manager or team leader for similar projects (Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, skills in stakeholder engagement and collaboration with diverse groups, including industry partners, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations)
  • In-depth knowledge on transport sector, specifically maritime sector, intermodal connections, connectivity, decarbonisation policies, political economy of maritime sector in European context
  • Familiarity with the shipping industry, including types of vessels, fuel usage, and operational practices, understanding of the maritime supply chain and logistics
  • Experience in working with international organizations is a distinctive advantage
