ANKON Consulting provides technical advisory services in social assessment, stakeholder engagement, and social risk management for energy and infrastructure projects financed by international financial institutions. Within this framework, ANKON is seeking an experienced Social Specialist to support the preparation and implementation of social studies in line with IFI standards and EBRD requirements.
The Social Specialist will contribute to the assessment and management of social risks, including land acquisition and resettlement processes, and will support the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement activities. The position requires close coordination with project teams, clients, and affected stakeholders to ensure compliance with EBRD social performance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in social studies and assessment in accordance with IFI standards
- Specific experience in application of land acquisition and resettlement (PR/PS5) and stakeholder engagement (PR10)
- Practical knowledge and understanding of EBRD’s social requirements and past experience of assistance in their successful implementation.
