This Project aims to provide an evaluation in consideration of the findings of the mapping study and capacity assessment survey conducted within the scope of the project Capacity Assessment for Equality Units at Local Level in Turkey supported by UN Women Turkey Office and the best practice examples of the Equality Units that transfer knowledge and experience as survey participants.

Through the mapping of existing local equality units and assessment of their capacities the expected outcomes are;

• a detailed database of the existing local equality units and the different modalities

• Identify the capacity gaps in the existing units to deliver gender sensitive services and to ensure gender equality and women’s empowerment at the local level

• Identify the best practices in local equality units in Turkey

• Be able to develop and implement an action plan to local equality units in Turkey at municipal level
