17 Nov VETKOM Ankara-Temelli BSL-3 Project Kick-off Meeting Held
The kick-off meeting for the Ankara-Temelli BSL-3 Project, which will be implemented within the Veterinary Medical Product Control Centre (VETKOM) as part of the Climate-Smart and Competitive Agricultural Growth Project in Turkey, funded by the World Bank and carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, was held.
The project is being implemented by the 2U1K – ANKON Consultancy Partnership and aims to strengthen the quality control processes of veterinary medicinal products in our country, upgrade laboratory infrastructure to international standards, and increase animal health and biosecurity capacity.
Within the scope of the project, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Report, a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and an Environmental and Social Management Plan for Contractors will be prepared.
This important step will make a strong contribution to Turkey’s veterinary drug safety and sustainable livestock farming policies.
