The objective of the Project is to improve formal job creation conditions for firms operating in provinces with a high proportion of Syrians under Temporary Protection (“SuTP”) for the benefit of Turkish citizens and refugees. To achieve this objective, the Formal Employment Creation Project will support (a) increased access to finance through loans to firms that already have a consolidated record of sustained job creation and greater capacity to expand business and create markets, (b) access to finance through job creation conditional grants to firms with high job creation potential, and (c) access to skills through participation of beneficiary firms and workers in project-funded training programs1. Selected Provinces: Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin, Bursa, İzmir, Kilis, Konya, Mardin, Ankara, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Osmaniye, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Adıyaman, Batman, Manisa, Denizli, Tekirdağ, and Sakarya. ANKON provides an OHS and Social expert who is responsible for preparing an Environmental and Social action plan for each sub-project.
