The overall objective of the assignment is to support the expansion of Turkey’s skills qualification and testing centres into refugee-hosting regions and to broaden the scope to cover sectors relevant for the target population.

The assignment aims to:

• Support the GCI Voc-Test Centre to achieve authorization and accreditation for skills verification of 13 professional competences in 17 different levels, as identified by a set of feasibility studies undertaken by the GCI.
• Support the economic integration of Syrians under temporary protection by validating their (largely undocumented) knowledge, skills and competences.
• Increase the employability of host community citizens and Syrians under temporary protection through skills verification.
• Enhance access to skilled workers for local employers at the quality they seek and with certified qualifications in the occupations that are most relevant to the local economy.
