ANKON was assigned jointly by the TSI and the World Bank to review the financial statements of the Turkish Standards Institution; to analyze its financial structure, accounting policies and operations from the point of Generally Accepted Accounting Policies towards a more commercially oriented Institution. The assignment constituted a part of the Turkish Technology Project Loan provided jointly by the Government of Japan and the IBRD.

ANKON developed recommendations for the improvement of TSI’s current accounting and financial management systems, designed a broad strategic plan for computerization of TSI management information systems, developed recommendations for organizational rationalization, and an implementation plan to fulfill TSI’s long term development plans in line with the Technology Loan objectives.
