ANKON’s project develops provincial brands, assesses alternative tourism models and establishes a foundation for promotion and communications. Supporting sustainable tourism in the Eastern Black Sea, it highlights historical, natural and cultural potential and includes a regional development plan focused on tourism and private sector growth. It supports zoning plans for Haçka Plateau, Uzungöl, Trabzon’s Sera Lake and Rize’s Ovit Plateau and assesses year-round tourism opportunities.

Project activities included:

• Planning and implementing awareness initiatives to increase women’s participation in tourism
• Designing and delivering a communications plan.
• Organising workshops and baseline assessments.
• Managing promotion and engaging regional actors to reach national and international investors.
