Child-Friendly City Ankara comprised two parts. Training in November–December 2012 and accompanying communications activities developed a shared knowledge base among stakeholders.

ANKON then provided consultancy and organisation for the first Child-Friendly City Symposium on 6–7 May 2014. Topics included children’s universities, physical environments and education, values and rights. Awareness activities included ten photographic display panels presenting the project’s story.
