The project strengthens the Ministry’s Disability and Elderly Services capacity and that of NGOs working on disability and vulnerable groups’ social inclusion.

Under the contract:

• NGOs received training on disability, vulnerable groups’ inclusion and related topics,
• Grant projects were monitored through site visits,
• Beneficiaries received training on implementation and final reporting,
• Beneficiaries were supported on procurement, procedures, contract amendments and reporting,
• Projects were monitored through a web-based Management Information System (MIS), with full operation of the existing website-based system undertaken,
• Study visits enabled Directorate General staff to learn from EU disability practice; subsequent support covered preparation and publication of a disability gap analysis,
• Project management training strengthened Directorate General staff capacity and skills,
• Dissemination and publicity activities were delivered.
