The project increases participation at all education levels, particularly among secondary-school-age girls in vocational education, and brings out-of-school children, especially girls, back into education.

ANKON’s services include:

Building institutional and staff capacity in Ministry bodies—including guidance and research centres, public education centres and vocational training centres—and local actors such as parent associations, village and neighbourhood heads, police, healthcare staff, religious officials, media and NGOs

Supporting the Ministry in delivering remedial classes in pilot provinces

Raising education awareness among children, families and society, especially girls who have dropped out or been absent long term

Developing guidance and counselling staff competencies to provide and facilitate access to career and psychological support

Promoting newly established dormitories in pilot provinces
