The project promotes equality between girls and boys through a gender-sensitive school approach. Activities include:

• Planning and implementing awareness initiatives to increase women’s participation in tourism
• Mainstreaming gender equality throughout education, strengthening Ministry capacity and developing a Gender Equality Assurance Tool for Schools (GEATS) with stakeholders, supported by implementation handbooks for pilot schools
• Study visits for Ministry staff, workshops reviewing policy, strategy and legislation, and curriculum and textbook updates promoting gender equality
• Seminars, meetings and campaigns raising awareness among students, parents, education staff and wider society
