The programme promotes sustainable local development and continuous improvement in quality of life during TANAP construction and operation. USD 84 million will be disbursed through direct grants, direct investment and programme contributions. Priority areas include:

• Investment in diversified tourism services, including agritourism,
• Equipment for schools, libraries, sports facilities and shared community spaces,
• Improved rural healthcare coverage and quality,
• Capacity building for vocational training centres,
• Greater agricultural diversification, added value and productivity,
• Support for local and traditional products,
• Sustainable management of natural resources, soil and water,
• Development and efficient use of renewable energy,
• Environmental infrastructure management and awareness,
• Cultivation and economic use of rare medicinal and aromatic plants,
• Protection and enhancement of biodiversity and ecosystems,
• Investment in social capital.
