Supported by UN Women Türkiye, the project assesses mapping and capacity assessment findings for local equality units against good practice examples.

Expected mapping and assessment results include:

• A detailed database of existing local equality units and their approaches

• Identification of capacity gaps in gender-responsive services, local gender equality and women’s empowerment

• Identification of good practices among local equality units in Türkiye

• Support for developing and implementing a municipal-level action plan for local equality units
