The project improves conditions for formal job creation in businesses operating in provinces with large populations of Syrians under temporary protection, benefiting both Turkish citizens and refugees. It expands access to loans for firms with a record of job creation and potential to grow and develop markets, offers employment-linked grants to high-potential businesses, and provides skills training to beneficiary firms and employees. Target provinces are İstanbul, Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin, Bursa, İzmir, Kilis, Konya, Mardin, Ankara, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Osmaniye, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Adıyaman, Batman, Manisa, Denizli, Tekirdağ and Sakarya. ANKON provides an Occupational Health, Safety and Social Expert responsible for preparing an Environmental and Social Action Plan for each subproject.
